About

For author Catherine Givans, the love of books began with Green Eggs and Ham. Still a devout Dr. Seuss fan, she’s enjoyed books of various genres over the years – from Horton Hears a Who to Stephen King and Nancy Drew. At seven, she found a new passion: writing. But life got in the way and it took several years, a supportive family and an amazing friend to rekindle her passion.

Also a domestic violence survivor, Catherine’s books often include themes that are close to her heart: rape, domestic violence, child abuse and more. While her stories are sometimes graphic in nature, she hopes they will provide a sense of hope and healing for victims. Through her writing, she plans to shed light on the intricacies of domestic violence by bringing understanding, hope, healing and compassion to a highly misunderstood violation of basic human rights.

When not writing, Catherine spends her time loving the five wonderful children she gave birth to, the amazing husband that was sent to her and the adorable but mischievous cat that found its way into her home and heart. Vegetarian, lover of all things living, book enthusiast, right brain creative are just a few of the other roles, interests and passions she stakes claim to.
